Administration Team

Stephen Brown,
Director

Stephen has been with the company since September 1989, after travelling and working on commercial sites around New Zealand. Stephen has stepped back from the operating side of the business, but is still available for advice when required. 

Peter O'Hara,
General Manager

Peter returned to the company back in August 2019 as the General Manager after working for one of Wellington major construction companies for 4 years. Prior to this Peter was the company Quantity Surveyor which he held for 16 years.

Kate Bannon,
Trainee Manager

Kate joined the company in February 2023, with an extensive background in sales and management both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She loves a challenge and has studied as a Quantity Surveyor as her introduction into the construction industry.

Morgan Leevers,
Quantity Surveyor

Morgan joined the company in October 2023.  Prior to this she worked for a design and manufacturing company working predominantly in sheet metal fabrication, and most recently she worked for a large firm in Wellington specializing in Cost Management and Quantity Surveying.

Administration Manager

Tania has been with the company since April 2016. Tania has over 30 years’ experience within the Finance sector, previously working in Wellington, London and locally.

Building Team

Nick Surtees,
Site Manager

Started with the company in February 2003 as an apprentice and gained his qualification.  Nick enjoys the challenges that Architecturally designed homes give during the build process.  Nick also isn't afraid of taking on the challenges that larger commercial jobs give.

Dion Kelly,
Site Manager

Started with the company in February 2001 as an apprentice and gained his qualification. Dion enjoys all aspects of the building trade and teaching new apprentices his trade.

Terry Blackburn,
Site Manager

Started with the company in February 2003 as an apprentice and gained his qualification. Terry enjoys refurbishing older buildings keeping them within their period but giving them a modern twist. Terry is also our Health & Safety Representative.

Jared Hardie,
Site Manager

Returned to the company in January 2019 as a site manager after working on commercial sites for 2 years. Prior to this Jared gained his qualification and worked for the company for 10 years. Jared enjoys all aspects of building and relishes the challenges that each build brings.

Conor Hoverd,
Site Manager

Started with the company January 2016 as an Apprentice and has since gained his qualification. Conor isn't afraid to tackle all new challenges that arise during the build process.  Conor has an eye for detail and likes doing the finishing detail work for our clients to sit back and enjoy.

Kirk Gooding,
Site Manager

Started with the company March 2017 as an Adult Apprentice and has since gained his qualification. Kirk enjoys new builds and residential work.

Qualified Builders

Ben O’Neill

Ben joined the team in 2025 partway through his carpentry apprenticeship and is continuing to work toward completing his qualification. He brings a great attitude to the job and is steadily increasing his skills under the guidance of our experienced team.

Jimmy Smith

Jimmy has worked with the company for over 13 years with a brief time away gathering experience. He enjoys finishing work and the satisfaction of completing a project.

Sam O’Reilly

Started with the company in 2019 as an apprentice and has since gained his qualification. Sam enjoys residential and restoration projects.

Apprentices

Max Pedersen

Max joined the company in 2022 as a first-year apprentice and has since made great progress in both skill and confidence.  Energetic and enthusiastic, he brings a positive attitude to every job.

Connor Surtees

Connor began his apprenticeship with us in 2024 and has quicky become a valuable member of the team. With a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn, he is building a solid foundation of skills while working toward his qualification. We’re proud to support his growth in the trade.


Joinery Team

Jamie Searle,
Joinery Manager

Jamie joined the company in March 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in joinery dating back to 2002. Having previously run his own joinery workshop, Jamie offers expert guidance across all aspects of the process — from design and layout through to production. Today, he manages our joinery workshop and oversees our skilled team of joiners, ensuring every project runs smoothly and to the highest standard.

Lia Wood,
Designer

Started with the company in April 2024. Lia comes from a print and graphic design background, and is eager to design functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for our clients.

Qualified Joiners

Andrew Pawson

Andrew joined us back in February 2002 as the Joinery Manager. With over 40 years in the joinery trade and builder qualifications, he brings plenty of skill and experience. While he used to lead the joinery department, Andrew now focuses on using his practical experience to deliver great results across all kinds of projects.

Dave Wood

With over 40 years of experience in the joinery trade, Dave is a highly skilled and knowledgeable craftsman. Quiet, dependable, and trusted, he’s a valued member of the team who consistently delivers quality workmanship.  From custom cabinetry to complex fit-outs, Dave brings a wealth of practical expertise to every job he takes on.

Brendon Scott

Brendon is both a qualified joiner and builder, and brings many years of expertise to our team.

Howard Stevens

Joining us in 2017, Howard brings over 40 years of joinery experience and a true perfectionist’s eye for detail. His dedication to getting every job just right makes him an invaluable part of the team.

Nick Dumanovsky

Nick started with us in 2021 and has just finished his apprenticeship here.  As a newly qualified joiner, he’s eager to apply his skills and grow, bringing fresh energy and dedication to every project.
